Welcome to the Wallace Resource Library (WRL) 2014 edition, available online for the first time. The WRL is a set of resources for biology, environmental science and geography teachers, specifically designed for 16-18 year old students, and created by experts in various fields of tropical marine and terrestrial biology, ecology and conservation. The resources use real life data sets from Operation Wallacea research expeditions around the world, which are made possible by the participation of university volunteers, and groups of high school students working alongside our scientists.
In this demo version of the WRL 2014 you will find one example data set for each of our five modules, as well as ten example lectures from our high school ecology courses run at Operation Wallacea sites in various countries. Each resource includes a range of supporting documents and information based around a central data set which teaches students how to handle, analyse and interpret scientific data. Perfect for all aspects of their learning, WRL 2014 data sets can be used in lessons by teachers, or for independent learning and revision outside of the classroom.
Within each module here you will see all the data sets available on the full WRL 2014, with those available on this demo version in full colour. Simply click on one of the colourful data set photographs in a module page, and you will find the resources set out ready to be used. To receive a copy of the full WRL 2014, complete with 19 data sets, please contact Operation Wallacea (firstname.lastname@example.org).×
